Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada or LMCC is the certificate that means this physician has passed MCCEE
, MCCQE Part 1
and MCCQE Part 2
The physician who passes LMCC gets an official certificate "Plastic Card" to be used with medical regulatory authorities.
The LMCC is not a license to practice medicine, the issuance of such being a function of the medical regulatory authorities. When a candidate has satisfied the various requirements imposed by the medical regulatory authority, the final step towards licensure to practice is to submit an application to the Registrar of that medical regulatory authority.
