How long is studying Medicine in your country ?!

    Well in Romania the medical school is 6 years ( 2 years preclinic ,4 years of clinic ) and after you finish you have to choose your speciality (depends -from 2 to 7 years :) the residency i mean )

    Hi everyone,

    I'm in Yemen,
    it takes 6 years ( 3 years for basic medicine in the college + 3 years for clinical in the hospitals ).
    Then the year of internship :)

    hi..i'm from malaysia.
    basically almost all university in malaysia have 5yrs programme. it is either 2.5+2.5, 2+3 and sometimes they have 6yrs program like in Islamic Science University of Malaysia.

    p/s but i'm studying in egypt due to limited seats in medical college! (i heart egypt) :D

    Hi, I'm from Italy. Here it takes 6 years plus:
    - 3 years to become GP
    - 5 years to take a specialization (6 for general surgery or internal medicine)
    :)

    i`m an extern from iran
    in iran it lasts 7 yesars,2.5 years for basic,1 year for physiopathology and 2 years for extern and 1.5 years in internship
    long time, isn`t it?

    Then 12 month full time internship

    Hi i'm from Poland. It takes 6 years and 13months of internship. Then you have to pass a medical state examination to get a right to practise and after that you can start trying to get to a specialization(6years)
