35 US Medical Schools That Accept IMGs for Electives and Observerships 2018

    This is an updated list for medical schools that accept International Medical Graduates for electives and observerships even if you are graduated from Non American Non Canadian Medical schools.

    It is well known that, you have to soend sometime in USA in electives and observerships to gain healthcare experience and letters of recommendation needed to match one of the competitive residency programs in USA

    1- Boston University School of Medicine
    2- University of North Carolina School of Medicine
    3- Larkin Community Hospital
    4- University of South Carolina School of Medicine:
    5- Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine:
    6- West Virginia University
    7- University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
    8- Uni. of Illinois - Chicago
    (No Application fee, only $1500 tuition fee)
    9- Uni. of Illinois - Peoria (via Mail)
    10- Louisiana State University (Via Mail)
    11- University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville ($800/Week)
    12- Uni. of Massachusetts Medical School Kansas
    13- Uni. of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio
    (UTHSCSA) Only accepts international students in: Emergency, Otolaryngology, Surgery, Urology
    14- Cook County Health and Hospital System: Only accepts international students in: Trauma, Anesthesiology, Burn
    15- Wake Forest School of Medicine (Only select five international students every year :)
    16- Texas Heart Institute: Doesn’t offer electives in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics (you can e-mail Dena Houchin at: [email protected] ).
    17- Case Western Reserve University: Doesn’t accept international students for internal medicine, Only PEDS, via MAIL
    18- University of North Carolina: (via GHLO) TOEFL score required: minimum score of 107, fees $2500
    19- National Institute of Health (NIH): (one of the top) TOEFL score required: minimum score of 108 (28+ in speaking and listening)
    20- Jefferson + Philadelphia University = Sidney Kimmel Medical College: Application Only Internal Medicine and Only in Block 18, $750 fees, via MAIL
    21- Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Oncology only, letter of why you want oncology, NO FEES, BEST IN ONCOLOGY in USA
    22- UT Southwestern, Dallas, TX: F1 Visa
    23- UT Health Science Center at Houston: F1 Visa + Send via MAIL
    24- Uni. of New Mexico: Catalog and Requirements Need a Faculty SPONSOR, No Cardiology/Peds Cardio, $1750 fees, via MAIL
    25- Cleveland Clinic: (BEST place to go) No tuition fees, only $400 application fees/month TOEFL score required: High in Reading and Listening and Good in Writing and Speaking (Can be waived by Secondary English Education = IGCSE)
    26- Mayo Clinic: (BEST place to go) No tuition fees, only $350 application fees, #1 in USA TOEFL score required: minimum score of 104 (Can be waived if your Medical School teaches Medicine in English = get Letter of English Education)
    27- Johns Hopkins = Research Elective is the ONLY allowed
    28- Colorado University: ($4000+App.215) + SPONSOR + Mail Emory University: ($3500+App. 500)
    29- Yale School of Medicine: ($3600, NO APP FEES, so you can try your luck)
    30- Weill Cornell ($2000+App.300)
    31- Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine = Florida Inter. Med. Sch. ($2500+App.200)
    32- Stanford ($3000+App.300)
    33- Alabama ($5000+App.300), “including housing, but not meals”
    34- Harvard University
    35- Icahn School (ALL Mount Sinai Hospitals)
    = apply from Jan 1st ($1000 application fees, but with 5 alternatives for your choice)
