The subcutaneous emphysema is clear, as pointed out by bb100, but i can't quite discern the pneumomediastinum. What may seem to be pneumomediastinum could well be an artifact...so, i urge u4534590 to kindly point out the positive findings ( other than the surgical fixation ) and a little hx / background of the trauma ( if u don't mind ).

Hi Neostar, this man was hit in the back with the butt of a shot gun. Clinically he had a couple of broken ribs but its hard to make this out on film. As you said the surgical emphysema is clear which is why in posted :) The radiologist didn't report a pneumomediastinum - I looked up his report today.

    Hope this helps! :)
