The ongoing coronavirus pandemic is inspiring everyone to lend a helping hand -- and that includes celebs. Rapper Ja Rule gave back to the Bronx, posting to his Instagram: "Just wanna say THANK YOU to all the first responders and essential workers on the frontlines of this pandemic by donating 1k mask to Lincoln hospital in the Bronx!!! THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE..." Artist WhIsBe teamed up with 3D Brooklyn to deliver more than 4,160 3-D printed face shields to 67 different hospitals. SNL's Michael Che donated $5,000 to a GoFundMe that is supporting New York's Comedy Cellar. According to the site, Dave Attell also donated $1,500, while Sarah Silverman, Michelle Wolf and Keith Robinson all made contributions of $1000. John Mayer (who has tried his hand at stand-up there) appears to have donated $2,500. Disgraced comedian Louis C.K. also donated $30,000. After a controversial giveaway with her clothing company Draper James, Reese Witherspoon attempted to make it right by donating to a teacher's aid organization. Pink took to her kitchen to make a bulk batch of soup for her community. "Find your local church, find your local shelter, reach out to them, get some friends together, and cook some soup. Feed some folks. Best soup I ever made." She has also donated $1 million to relief funds Jessica Chastain brought the gift of Beyond Burgers to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Sandra Bullock donated over 6,000 N95 masks to hospitals in Los Angeles. Rihanna teamed up with Twitter boss Jack Dorsey to help a vulnerable segment of the population -- domestic abuse survivors. She donated $4.2 million in a joint funding effort between the Clara Lionel Foundation -- founded by Rihanna in 2012 -- and Dorsey, 43, to address the huge surge in domestic violence cases. She has also previously donated $5 million to help combat the pandemic through her foundation, along with another $1 million dollar donation made in tandem with Jay-Z. Jay-Z donated $1 million to relief efforts along with Rihanna Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul donated 30% of their proceeds from their mezcal brand Dos Hombres to benefit COVID-19 relief funds. Amal Clooney and George Clooney donated $250,000 each to The Motion Picture and Television home -- where Clooney is a board member -- the SAG-AFTRA Fund and Los Angeles Mayor's Fund. An additional $300,000 has also been provided to three international charities: Lebanese Food Bank, Lombardo Italy Region and the NHS. Fall Out Boy donated $100,000 to their hometown of Chicago for COVID-19 relief. Titled Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund, the organization is a partnership between the City of Chicago and United Way of Metro Chicago. Funds go directly towards supporting food banks and food programs for students who typically get their meals via public schools. Cardi B made a massive food donation to local hospitals. She supplied 20,000 bottles of Owyn, a plant-based vegan meal supplement drink, to hospitals around the city. The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation donated $10 million to disease relief efforts, split across different causes including the Emergency Assistance Foundation, the World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and more. Angelina Jolie donated $1 million to fight child hunger amid the pandemic. Kylie Jenner donated $1 million to her OBG-YN in an effort to secure hundreds of thousands of masks, face shields, and other protective gear. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos also donated a cool $1 million to the Office of the New York Governor to buy badly needed ventilators and to WIN, the largest provider of shelter for New York City's homeless families.
