Nairobi-based broadcasting company CGTN Africa posted this photo yesterday: The full caption reads like this: A picture of a doctor operating with a baby on the back in Kenya goes viral Kenyan obstetrician identified as Swabra Swaleh Breikperformed a C-section on a pregnant woman while carrying her toddler on her back in Olkalou district hospital in central Kenya where she worked. The doctor who was also three months pregnant during the operation explained her decision on her Facebook page. Giving reasons such as lack of nanny, being the only doctor on duty since the hospital is understaffed, that the pregnant woman couldn’t be referred due to her fragile condition, and her husband who is also a doctor being away on call away among other reasons.
