    Please note: in tension pneumothorax, one sees a flattened hemidiaphragm, unless of course there is concomitant phrenic n. injury....so the white shadow in the lower zone of rt. hemithorax may be blood and is dome shaped possibly becos the Xray was taken in the recumbent position.

    The resolution is not very good...but that's the best u can ask 4 in an emergency situation and it does not matter to the docs in charge, becos they hav the necessary background info (Y)

    Tension pneumothorax on the right .
    This is an emergency condition .
    Chest tubes are used to treat this condition
