Undergoing facial cosmetic surgery or any type of procedure for that manner should be a decision you make after thorough, considering both pros and cons. It’s never a good reason to do it just because your favorite celebrity has done it, as well. When Kylie Jenner confirmed she had her lips done, although everyone knew immediately, millions of girls around the world got lip fillers too. Nope, that is never a good reason! Only you know whether you should undergo a plastic procedure or not, but here are some things to consider while making your decision:
    • Are you doing it for yourself or to please someone else?
    • Why do you want it?
    • What do you expect from the procedure?
    • Are you aware of all the advantages and disadvantages?
If you have reasonable expectations and want to undergo some procedure to enhance the appearance because you really want it, then you’re a good candidate. When consulting your surgeon about preferred procedure inform him/her about a health condition you may have. Below, we’re going to discuss the common facial procedures.

    Botox

Botox injections are probably the most popular cosmetic procedure. Botox is short from Botulinum toxin, which is produced by a specific type of bacteria. Don’t worry, only very small dosages are used for the reduction of facial wrinkles.

When injected, Botox blocks some nerve signals that are responsible for the contraction of muscles. As a result, muscles get the opportunity to relax, and the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines are reduced too.

Botox is most commonly used for:
    • Chin (to smoothen dimpled or cobblestoned chin area)
    • Corners of the mouth
    • Crow’s feet or lines and wrinkles around your eyes
    • Frown lines
    • Horizontal forehead lines
    • Necklines and wrinkles
    • Squint lines
    lip augmentation

lip augmentation is self-explanatory; it is a procedure to give you plump, full, sexy lips. The most frequent method of lip augmentation is the use of injectable dermal fillers. Of course, different types of these fillers are available, and they are injected in a person’s lips and around the mouth. Hyaluronic acid is the most popular dermal filler and the safest option primarily because it is the naturally occurring substance in a human body.

Injecting hyaluronic acid fillers improves the appearance of a person’s lips by adding more volume, shape, and structure. The results last about six months, and the best thing is that they have a very low risk of allergic reactions, meaning they’re considered safe to use.

    cheek augmentation

cheek augmentation is a facial cosmetic surgery whose primary purpose is to add shape and contour to cheeks that lack definition. The procedure requires cheek implants which are made of a variety of synthetic materials that range from flexible to rigid. Implants come in different shapes and sizes, and they are usually shaped to a specific facial structure of every individual.

The cheek augmentation can be performed in conjunction with some other facial procedure, or they can be injected on their own. When used on their own, the cheek implants are placed through small incisions made in the lower eyelids or mouth. The implant is, then, placed into small pockets of the cheek tissue. You will have to wait about ten days to remove the stitches, but if they’re placed in the mouth, the stitches dissolve on their own.
