When I administering an oral drug, this drug may be subject to first-pass metabolism, why some pastilles are subject to first-pass metabolism and others are not?
I was asked this question on an examination and I answered that the cause could be the different biochemical composition or the fact that different enzymes are involved.
My answer was wrong... could someone explain this thing to me please?

    Thank you very much
