Coronavirus Survivor Tells Story Hailing from Seattle, 37-year-old Elizabeth Schneider hopes that her story, which she published in a recent Facebook post, would help inspire others and bring to them some much-needed peace of mind. This is because, according to her, the news these days around the current coronavirus outbreak all seem grim and down at best, with an increasing number of people getting infected and no definitive vaccine on sight. And now, she wants to let people know that following the proper procedure, we can survive the coronavirus and pull through. Working as a manager in marketing, Schneider believes that she caught the coronavirus at a party, because while no one was sneezing or coughing while it was going on, around 40 percent of the attendees ended up getting sick just days after it. In fact, it wasn’t until she was able to recover that she found out she contracted it as well. "The media tells you to wash your hands and avoid anyone with symptoms. I did. There is no way to avoid catching this except avoiding all other humans," she said Furthermore, she also said that around her age, the symptoms appeared slightly different, starting with headache and fatigue and ending with a 103-degree fever at it worse. Thankfully, it receded the next day, and she was able to bounce back and recover, all without going to the hospital. According to her, the illness lasted between 10 and 16 days. However, it wasn’t until she was well that she actually got herself tested for coronavirus, which returned positive. "I was a little bit pleasantly surprised, because I thought it was a little bit cool," she added.
