A Texas dad is going above and beyond to make sure his 14-year-old son feels loved and supported during his cancer treatments. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Aiden is allowed to have only one parent in the room with him as he’s treated for acute lymphocytic leukemia. But that hasn’t stopped his dad from showing up for each appointment. “Every Tuesday while Aiden’s mom joins him in the clinic for cancer treatment, his dad, Chuck, stands outside and dances to lift Aiden’s spirits,” Cook Children’s Health Care System shared on Facebook. “Here is a highlight reel of Chuck’s best moves!” Chuck told CBS affiliate KTVT in Fort Worth that he’d do anything to lift his son’s spirits and let him know he’s not alone. “It’s funny watching him figuring out all that he is going to do,” Aiden told KTVT. “It just cheers me up sometimes.” Childhood acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL) is the most common type of cancer in children, according to the Genetic and Rare Diseases Information Center.
