    Lanugo hair; I should probably have been clear on the point that we were not dealing with an illness here. I justed wanted to show you this harmless sign.

    Lanugo hair is seen in prematurely born children; it's a type of fine 'fur' that is shed at about 33 to 36 weeks of gestational age.
