I think fast food causes many health problems like obesity , elevating cholesterol level , depression , food addiction ... etc so fast food restaurants should be banned in hospitals or near it.
As we all know, fast-food is one of the worst eating habits people develop more and more these days, with the harmful consequences such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases constantly growing in number; if hospitals "host" a health enemy like fast food, then any good advice regarding nutrition given by doctors to their pacients is nullified at the view of a health professional eating fast food products. I think we should practice what we preach!
In hospitals it should totally be banned but near it that is a whole other story....most of my collegues and I eat fast food near the hospital from lack of time and alternatives of healthy food .
It is contradictory at least one fast-food within a hospital. How is the credibility of the physician in their patients after they recommend the consumption of healthy foods, low in calories, cholesterol and sugar? This reminds me of a popular saying: do what I say not what I do.
