    Maternal obesity is positively associated with preeclampsia,gestational diabetes,ceasarean delivery,stillbirth and LGA(large for gestational age)....weightloss is advised to overweight and obese women who are planning to become pregnant to avoid these complications...

    Yes.In fact maternal obesity is positively associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes: preeclampsia,gestational diabetes,, cesarean delivery, stillbirth, and LGA( Large for Gestational Age or bigbaby--cut off is 4kg).It's advised that overweight and obese women who plan to become pregnant should loss weight to prevent these complications. :)
