'Dr OMG will see you now!' Hilarious signs reveal the medical practitioners with VERY unfortunate surnames
    • Gallery shows rather off-putting surnames used by doctors around the world
    • There's the gynecologists Dr Bush, Dr Beaver, Dr Bang, Dr Wang and Dr Hardman
    • ...and who'd want to reveal their ills to Dr Dooms, Dr Cholera and Dr Frankenstein

A collection of signs showing medical practitioners with names that range from the blush-inducing to the down-right disconcerting have been unearthed on the internet.

The gallery includes everything from the foreboding-sounding Dr Frankenstein to a whole host of gynecologists with comedy names including Dr Beaver, Dr Bush, Dr Hardman and Dr Dick L. Ong.

And somewhat confusingly for patients, there's also the practitioner who was clearly born to do the job: Doctor Docktor.

Titter ye not: The medical practitioners operating with surnames that might make it hard to keep a straight face including the gynecologist named Dr Dick L. Ong

Lost in translation? Dr Pornsak's clinic and, right, the snigger-inducing Dr Richard L Weiner

You're in the right field! Dr Harry Beaver plies his trade in obstretics and gynecology

Red-faces all round: How does an appointment at the Hardman Gynecology Centre sound?

Richard and Freda, otherwise known as Dr Stiff and Dr Bush also make a living in the gyno field

Who would you prefer for your appointment, madame? Dr Bang or Dr Wang?

The snigger-raising gallery also includes more than a few surnames that are a little too close to certain parts of the anatomy.

There's the painfully-named urologist Dr Cockburn and the gynecology expert Dr Hardman.

Indeed, when it comes to obstetrics and gynecology, it seems the puns just run and run. Genuine doctors include Dr Beaver, Dr Bush, Dr Hardman and Dr Wang...and Dr Bang.

Elsewhere, there's the Carry On-style saucy surnames including: Dr Blome, Dr Pornsak and Dr B.J. Hardick. Oh, and we mustn't forget Ireland's very own Dr Bonar.

There's also the dentist, an unlikely advert for a sugar-laden soft drink, named Dr Pepper.

Let's hope that's not the reaction you get: Dr OMG has suffered from social media abbreviations

Blush! This car parking space is reserved for Dr Blome, while Dr B.J. Hardick has some comedy initials

A foot doctor with the name Dr Will Tickel? It's

A very appropriate name for a urologist...meet Mr A Cockburn

Dr D Bonar might have found his good Irish surname misinterpreted a few times

Dr Cholera can see you now...but do you still want to see Dr Cholera now you know their name?

Are you an advocate of sugary drinks, Dentist Dr Pepper? Meanwhile, you don't want to catch a cold from Dr Atchoo

A Docktor in every sense: Dr J Docktor was born to do this job

Then there's the doctors whose own names sound like they've been lifted from a medical dictionary including Dr Atchoo and Dr Cholera.

The most unfortunate surname lighting up a sign outside a clinic? Dr Hytham S***, who's apparently very good at his job.

Looking for a good prognosis? An appointment with Dr Dooms doesn't seem like the most hopeful place to start

When your name is a curse: Dr Frankenstein didn't let his eerie surname lead him away from science
