Police identified the suspect as Jhon Patrick Policarpio, who is wanted for 14 counts of violation of the Bouncing Check Law and 2 counts of estafa.

He allegedly tried to evade arrest for a year.

Police Lt. Col. Richard Caballero, chief of the CIDG-DSOU, said a victim went to their office last August 2018 and filed a medical malpractice complaint.

According to the victim, Policarpio introduced himself in a fitness center last August 2016 and sold beauty products to customers and staff there.

Since the victim was in need of pneumonia vaccine for his father, he availed of the suspect’s service from 2016 to 2017 thinking he was authorized to administer medical procedure like injection of antibiotics, vaccines, glutathione, and vitamins via intravenous drip and intra-muscular injection.

The victim also said Policarpio enticed him to invest P200,000 in a business venture. However, he was unable to get his money back when the suspect said the Anti-Money Laundering Council froze his account.

The victim, sensing he was duped, conducted his own investigation and discovered that Policarpio was not registered in the Professional Regulation Commission.

Authorities are waiting for the resolution of the medical malpractice case filed against Policarpio.
