Kristopher Boesen lost control of his car on a slippery road, and it slammed into a tree. Kris’s parents were warned by doctors that he may never be able to function from the neck down. Kris was given the opportunity to undergo a potentially life-changing procedure that would use stem cells. According to the National Institutes of Health, stem cells have the ability to repair injured nervous tissue by replacing the damaged cells.
