This is a cross-cut of healthy adrenal gland tissue (Azan).

    Can you identify structures A, B, C, D and E?

I’ll post the correct answer in a few days!

    Correct answer:

    A) Vena centralis

    B) Medulla (produces adrenaline and noradrenaline)

    C) Zona reticularis (produces DHEA and androsteendion)

    D) Zona fasciculata (produces cortisol)

    E) Zona glomerulosa (produces aldosteron) and the adrenal cortex

I would like to understand histology during summer time season by myself. I would like to find a guide that is easy, in shade, uncomplicated and good for self-paced studying (if it contains workouts, then it's perfect).

Can anyone suggest an starting histology guide ? I don't proper value really unknown information but I still want to be able to distinguish the abdomen from the digestive system for example.
