Hi everybody. It is 6 years in Lithuania. I think it would be more interesting to compare not years, but the hours of auditory work. We have 9000 mandatory hours of work and over 3000 hours of autonomous work through our 6 years of studies

and then 3-6 years of residency

In the Philippines, Med proper takes 4 years, and then you get the MD title already, no license yet. PGI or post graduate internship is taken one year after Med proper, and then students take licensure exams. 5 years total to become a GP. Additional years take when further specializations are pursued.

    hi
Israel has five university medical schools, which all follow the European 6-year training model. There is also a four-year program similar to the US system for students who hold a bachelor's degree in certain biological sciences.
after this you have to make a one year internship(stag) at a recognized institution then a stage exam to get the license.

It takes 6 years to get an MBBS degree. If you already have a BSc, it's a year shorter. Then you have 1 year internship training.

Seems like we have different curriculum in Indonesia. At my university, it's 3,5yrs of preclinic then you'll graduate as Bachelor of Med, 2yrs of clinical course at hospital then you should pass national board exam if you want to get your MD degree. Then you should take 1yr of internship if you want to be GP

It's 5 years here in Malta; 2 years Preclinical & 3 years Clinical. Then we have a 24 month internship (though we change ward ever 3 months, so we end up being stationed in 8 different wards/specialitites. Not sure how it is abroad) until we receive our local licence. Then everything after that is specialisation or residency.

    Hi... Algeria here.
It takes 7 years to become a GP. 3 years basic, 3 years medical and 12 months internship. For specialty you can pass the test right after the internship. It takes 4 to 5 years ( mostly 5 years for surgical specialties and 4 years fo medical) plus 2 to 4 years public service...so you do the math :)
