We are not robots and the last thing our body needs is constant work with very little or no vacation. In fact, according to the British scientists it would be optimal for our body if we could take vacation from our work 6 times a year, or to be more precise each 62 days.

There are so many people desperately waiting those few weeks of summer vacation to rest their body and mind thinking that this will do for a normal comeback to a everyday life full of work and stress. But according to science this is not the case in the modern world.

The scientists recommend that in order for us to remain fresh and focused our body needs a rest from work approximately each two months, and those people who wait more than two months to go to vacation often feel anxiety, aggression and are most often sick compared to people who use their vacation every now and then.

It is estimated that only one fifth of workers in EU manages to take vacation every two months so it is no wonder than many workers across EU so desperately wait summer months and those couple of weeks of holidays.

The level of stress among workers is declining as soon they get out of the office with many workers claiming that only a day or two out of the office is in most cases enough for them to feel fresh and rejuvenated, ready for new business challenges.

Around ten percent of EU workers claim that they need at least week of vacation from work before feeling better and rejuvenated, and five percent of workers claim that they are not able to relax while on vacation.

The several studies have also showed that male workers relax more easily compared to female workers, and female workers need more time to "charge their batteries" prior to going to work.

In any case, too much work is not good for your body, just like physical inactivity is anything but good for your body. You just need to recognize the signs when your body says "OK, I need a break" and listen to it, if you want to live a healthy life that is.

The first thing experts will tell you about sleep is that there is no "magic number." Not only do different age groups need different amounts of sleep, but sleep needs are also individual. Just like any other characteristics you are born with, the amount of sleep you need to function best may be different for you than for someone who is of the same age and gender.

Rest is very important for performing the work in good way.
During the 8 to 10 hours working routine there must be a rest break of one hour.
This rest break will relax your body and remove your tiredness, and you can do your work effectively.

I agree with your opinion about rest of the body to work well. I think we should take little vacation in every three months for go to out side because it will make a good effect on our body.

Nine hours rest is must for everyone human in 24 hours but now a days it is not possible by busy lifestyle. Most of people suffering with stress on work place because they don't give enough rest to their body.
