    A meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the relationship between hypoalbuminemia and increased risk of acute kidney injury (AKI) in hospitalized patients. Researchers carried out to search MEDLINE, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects up to December 2019. The study enrolled a sum of 39 studies in the hypoalbuminemia and AKI cohort (n = 168,740), and 15 studies were included in the mortality cohort (n = 5,693). The data exhibited that in hospitalized patients, hypoalbuminemia is correlated with AKI. Nevertheless, the impact on mortality is subjected to publication bias
