If You Get Into Medical School And Discover You Can’t Stand The Sight Of Blood, What Can You Do?

    If you aren’t passing out at the sight of blood and just detest it or feel nauseated from it, you do your best to survive and complete medical school. It’s possible your aversion will decline with exposure over time.

    If you continue to have issues with blood, then you look for a residency in psychiatry, radiology (not interventional!) or maybe neurology. Psychiatry may be your best bet because you’re definitely going to get some internal medicine training with neurology and radiology and will be exposed to blood sometimes.

    If you pass out at the sight of blood I sure hope you figured that out before you applied to medical school. If not, you are in big trouble.
