It’s always good to be aware of the different symptoms you experience in your body, and to know which symptoms to look out for as a potentially serious medical condition.
    Some of these symptoms include:
    • Weight gain
    • Swelling in legs and feet

These symptoms don’t mean you should panic right away, but you definitely should go see a doctor for a professional opinion.

Check out these 12 symptoms that you should be aware of, and could mean you have a serious health problem.

    1. Swelling in your lower limbs is something you should be aware of. It means that your body is retaining fluid, and can be a sign of a heart problem.

    2. Male pattern baldness is pretty standard for men as they get older, but it can also be a sign that you are at a high risk for heart disease.

    3. This symptom is less common, and it is yellow bumps on the eyelids. This could be a sign that you may have high levels of fat in your blood because your cholesterol is too high.

    4. Bleeding gums is not something you want to see when you brush your teeth, and you should go see your dentist. It could mean that you have poor circulation or even gum disease.

    5. Weight fluctuations are normal, but if you are experiencing sudden and unexplained weight gain it can mean that your thyroid isn’t working properly, or other potential dangerous health problems, and you should definitely consult a doctor.

    6. If you’ve had too many beverages, you may have to use the bathroom more frequently. But if frequent urination is a common occurrence, it could be a sign of diabetes.

    7. Cataracts are another physical sign to look out for, which not only affects your vision, but it can also mean that you have heart disease.

    8. Some early symptoms of a heart attack to be aware of include being unusually tired and having low energy, having trouble sleeping, problems breathing, and indigestion issues.

    9. Signs of a stroke are also something to be aware of, and they can happen suddenly. The American Stroke Association recommends remembering the acronym F.A.S.T to identify a stroke. F is for face drooping, A is for arm weakness, S is for speech difficulty, and T is for time to call 911.

    10. A few signs to look out for with skin cancer are changes in your skin moles, such as the shape, color and size. Also if your face is frequently turning red, or if your skin and the whites of your eyes turn yellow, and if you are experiencing sensitivity to the sun, or have painful skin lesions that won’t heal.

    11. If you experience any of these physical symptoms, you might be developing a muscle and joint problem. These signs include muscle pains and aches that don’t go away, numbness, tingling or discomfort in the extremities, pain, tenderness, stiffness, swelling and inflammation and redness in or around the joints.

    12. It is important to know what signs to look out for with breast disease. Any sort of fluid coming out of the chest is something to watch out for. Also, unusual tenderness or pain in the chest, or any changes in the skin such as ridges, dimpling, pitting, swelling, redness or scaling. Lastly, be aware if there is a lump or unusual skin changes in or near the chest and underarm region.
