https://www.thejakartapost.com/news...-prevents-covid-19-experts-beg-to-differ.html Ministry of agriculture in Indonesia was probably attempting whatever good it could do to contribute to the fight against covid-19. However, to most individuals in Indonesia (even scholars in non-medical fields), evidence-based medicine is an alien concept. The ministry just released eucalyptus necklace (yes, a necklace) as a product which serves as antivirus. Most experts were afraid that this product might provide false hope that people will slacken the use of mask and stop social-distancing (Indonesian is very prone to spreading and believing misinformation, some people even believe that covid-19 is bicycle merchant conspiracy!). However, since the one who spreads the news is the supposedly one of the most authoritative bodies in Indonesia, which is also called a ministry, it's hard to consider the claim as misinformation. What do you think?
