This study was sought to construct methods to disaggregate World Health Organization estimates of tuberculosis (TB) incidence and mortality for each country by gender and age. Researchers disaggregated incidence proportional to notifications for countries where incidence estimates derived from a factor adjustment of notifications and case detection ratio over 0.85, or with < 1000 reported TB cases. The results exhibited that, while multi-stage, this method is comparatively simple in overall logic. The results considered that disaggregated estimates have relatively larger uncertainty and should be applied with caution.
