It all began 15 years ago. Bonnie, the president and CEO of Food Share, noticed that her teeth were mysteriously changing. They began to look more damaged, crooked, discolored, and depleted.

As her teeth began to degrade, so did her confidence and self-esteem. She would hide her smile in photos, cover her mouth when she laughed, and keep her teeth out of sight.

In fact, she became consumed by her smile, and her issues began to affect her work with the non-profit she founded. As CEO of Food Share, which feeds thousands of individuals in need each month, Bonnie was required to interact with patrons.

Her unwillingness to fully participate in social situations made her feel like she was neglecting some of the people who needed her most.

Bonnie begged The Doctors for help where she was assigned to work with True Dentistry’s Joseph Willardsen for a month of treatments.

She needed 12 teeth removed from her lower jaw, treatment for an infection that had spread throughout her mouth, and dental implants. Some of her teeth had even begun to decay.

After she received the treatments, she was transformed on the inside and out. Her husband gushed that he was ecstatic because she was happy; he would even spot her smiling in her sleep.

But that wasn’t the end of her transformation: Bonnie received a $10,000 donation to her nonprofit, which will help thousands.
