The bravery of our incredible medical workers in the face of the global pandemic has led to many instances of these remarkable men and women being honored with the tributes they deserve.

For example, one overwhelmed paramedic has been filmed breaking down in tears after her entire street turned out to applaud her as she left for yet another shift on the frontline against the coronavirus.

The video was recorded in Basingstoke, England, on Thursday, and shows Tayla Porter stepping out of her home - only to be greeted by the residents of her street clapping and cheering as she made her way to her car.

Totally overwhelmed by the heartwarming ovation, Tayla was moved to tears, leaving her with her head in her hands.

The video was shared to Facebook by Taylor's mom, Ali, who wrote alongside the video:

"I just love where we live, everyone in our street united to wave Tayla off on her paramedic shift tonight just the boost she needed [...] The [Cadbury Heroes] chocolates and homemade cake were a lovely touch too xx We could hear the applause all the way up Queens Road too."

Since being shared to Facebook two days ago (March 26), the video has received over 68,000 'reactions' and 66,000 shares.

The video has also amassed dozens of comments, with one person writing: "Amazing work Tayla, we are all so grateful."

Taylor's father also wrote: "Very proud of my daughter and truly lost for words for my neighbours in Queens Road and ours coming out to show their appreciation of the great effort of the NHS and their dedicated staff. Thanks to everyone".

We are encouraging all of our UK readers to adhere to the government's advice: Stay home. Protect the NHS. And save lives.

We are urging all of our readers to adhere to the advice from their respective governments and medical bodies, and practice social distancing and self-isolation where required. Together, we will beat this...
