    I was going to say diphteria too as i see something like pseudomemberane , but she says it is a rare disease !!

    Here in Egypt , I dont think it is rare

    Yes it is diphteria. Sorry if I confused you, here in Serbia vaccination is necessary ;)

    F.Diphteria, characterized by persence of greyish-whitish memeber over the the palatine tonsils, soft palat, post. pharyngeal wall etc which bleeds upon removal.
    often Jugulodigastric node are enlarged giving a "bull-neck" appearance.
    RX; depends upon the extent of the psudomembrane formation:
    Dip. Anti-toxin IV infusion with saline plus Antibiotics (penicillin, those allregic are prescribed Erythromycin)
