The proteus syndrome has protean manifestations from very severe ( easily recognizable ) to the very subtle - isolated tumors of skin. One of the classic manifestations / example of the subtle form is - Cerbriform connective tissue nevus ( containing highly collagenised fibrous connective tissue ) on the plantar surface of the foot as in this challenge.
