The sign demonstrated in the Image is - Wrist sign In this sign, when the wrist is encircled by the thumb and little finger ( with light pressure / very little effort ), the little finger will overlap at least 1 cm. Differentials - Marfan's syndrome - Hypogonadism - Homocystinuria - Hyperthyroidism ( due to wasting of muscles the diam of the wrist decreases ) - or any other condition leading to cachexia Please note - it is also seen in normal individuals.
Marfan's syndrome patient with Marfan syndrome are usually tall and thin with disproportionately long arms, legs, fingers and toes.
