Student Top Choice For Specialty Rated As Most Interesting.

    The students ranged from 18 to 37 years old (median age 22 years), with 327 (36%) male and 571 (64%) female participants.

    Students were asked to rate specialties that they found most interesting. Paediatrics and Accident and Emergency (A&E) were the most popular as a first choice of specialty (18% and 15%, respectively), as shown in the figure. Psychiatry was one of the least favoured specialties (n = 32; 4%).
