This systematic review and meta-analysis was undertaken to determine the impact of soy products on inflammatory markers. PubMed, Scopus, ISI web of science, and Cochrane Library were explored up to March 2020 in order to identify all randomized trials which evaluated the impact of soy product supplementation on C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6). Overall 51 randomized trials were analyzed. Findings revealed that soy supplementation resulted in a significant decrease in CRP levels, however, IL-6 and TNF-α remained unaffected by it.
