Officers arrested the attacker a short while after the early morning incident. A female worker was today stabbed repeatedly with a pair of scissors inside a hospital A&E. Police were called to the scene at Newham University Hospital following reports of an emergency department assistant being knifed. The male suspect aged 27 was arrested on suspicion of GBH at the scene and the victim’s injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.
