5 years old girl swallowed a piece.

Can it pass the entire GIT ?

What should we do if it stays in the stomach?

    Parents were advised to:
    • Follow her stools.
    • Bring her if any new symptoms appeared.

I think that is a coin, but why don't remove it endoscopically?

Because it is better to let it come out naturally, removing with an endoscope puts a lot of stress on the kid.

Of course, when it is a dangerous object or when it cannot pass the whole digestive tract, treatment is advised.

Seems like a coin, I would give her some laxative to let it come out more quickly.

Certainly if a coin leave it.

Never ask the parents to go through the stools, what's the point? Safety net for signs of instruction and abdominal pain and that's it.

Or, ask them to return if there's any change.

    Budum tish.
