    HPE: hox genes fail to activate along the midline of the head, causing structures (brain bilateral hemispheres, facial structures like eyes, cleft palate) that are normally paired on the left and right to merge (cyclopia). In this case - alobar holoprosencephaly (severe form) where facia structures have merged to a single median one. Functional abnormalities very severe incompatible wt life.
