Ibn Ilyās was a late 14th century physician from Iran, Persia. Mansur was from a family of scholars and physicians active for several generations in the city of Shiraz. He dedicated both of his major medical writings, a general medical encyclopaedia and a study of anatomy, to rulers of the Persian province of Fars.
The writings are in Persian the language of Iranians. As you know the handwriting is similar to Arabic but the language is Persian. Indeed most of medical books written in Arabic are also, written by Iranian physicians like Avecina.
i think for us (arabic speaking world) can learn persian in 3 days.. i can understand half of what's written here.. in fact.. 600 years ago.. which means (Timurid dynasty).. Today part of Iran, Iraq, Syria.. So i think there were a good communication between arabic and persian medical doctors in that era, because i saw a horse anatomy pictures similar to those written in arabic.. i wish science and humanity re-unite us again..
