The rotary district governor, Rosetti Nabbumba, flagged off the few participants at a Starting point in Muyenga at exactly 7:45 am on Sunday August 30, 2020.

This is the first virtual run in Uganda following restrictions and observations of COVID-19 guidelines.

Most of the runners participated from home while watching proceedings on social media.

Nabbumba said that this year's campaign involved Food and Nutrition aimed at promoting healthy living, adding that the run came as a challenge due to COVID-19.

"I appeal to people to observe all guidelines put by the ministry of health to avoid the contraction of the deadly virus," Nabbumba said.

Fabian Kasi, the managing director Centenary Bank said that the run is to support and build a bunker at Nsambya hospital.
