What's your diagnosis?
I'll post the correct answer in about three days!
Distended Bladder due to bladder outlet obstruction
post-op urine retention
bistended blader due to BOO
Neurogenic bladder, due to a lower motor neuron disease.
A neurogenic bladder is large and hypotone when caused by a LMN disease, and small and spastic when it's a result of an UMN disease. The patient needs to be catheterized immediately, also to prevent infection.
