Many doctors from the load and stress they face in their job need to take a long break as traveling but most of them don't have this flexibility to do this. There are many ways to be a traveling doctor and it will be discussed in this article.

    1- Join doctors without borders
Doctors without borders is an international humanitarian organization that recruits doctors and other trained medical professionals to provide critical medical care in more than 60 countries around the world. Doctors don't have the opportunity to request where they are stationed but are sent to where the need is greatest. Training is provided, travel housing and food is supplied.

    2- Secure credentials
To be a traveling doctor you have to ensure that you have the appropriate credentials. In addition in completing your medical internship and M.D.

    3- Practical concerns
If you are planning to spend your whole life as a traveling doctor, some practical concerns have to considered as the acceptance of your family to travel with you in any location, buying a house, renting a home. If you are single and you have pets, so it won't be practical with you to get them with you every place unless you are sure that you can keep your pet with a person, who is a little bit risky to do this.

4- Be a part of a Medical Ministry
Missionary groups often tour guides to countries that need assistance in building shelters, securing the safe water supply to receive basic medical care. This type of organization also recruits doctors who can help them utilize their professional networks to secure much needed medical equipment and supplies.

5- Experience is the best teacher in medical school
You can join medical school if you have a passion for sports medicine, you can train several students how to deal with athletic injuries, so this will give you specific skills that will improve your experience with your patients.

    6- Join the Peace Corps
The Peace Corps Global Health Service partnership recruits doctors and nurses to travel to underserved countries with healthcare needs that are great and medical resources are in high demand. It operates in more than 140 countries around the world. Doctors don't only provide care, they also work alongside other medical staffers I local institutions to help teach new skills and share these practices.

Many volunteers don't realize that they could be able to use their specialized skills and that these skills could serve an at-need community in a way that most volunteers could not. Medical volunteer, abroad trips can be extremely rewarding and are a great chance for people with specialized skills to participate in a volunteer project that because the nature of these projects can only accept people with very specific qualifications or interests.
