    Writing from Spain here:
6 years which include the 3 years of basics, and 3 of clinic (during which you also do internship) + 4-5 years of residency

So 11 years (plus the year you spend until you can take the exam for chosing residency)

Hi there , I'm from Belgium. In our country the basic medical education used to take 7 years. Afterwards you could choose from the variety of specialities which have their specific duration. For a GP it would take another 2 years afterwards, so 9 years in total, to become an officional GP in Belgium. Nowadays the basic curriculum has been shortened with one year, though the specialties have been prolonged with an extra year (so still 9 years to become a GP). Cheers!

In the United States you must obtain a Bachelors (BA or BS) degree before you can even attend medical school.
The bachelors degree can be in any major, however you must take a series of standard pre-requisite coursework (approximately 90 credit hours) in order to qualify as a candidate for medical school. Your must also do well on the MCAT exam.
Medical school itself is generally 4 years (MD or DO), and residency is MANDATORY after medical school.
Depending on the specially you choose, you will spend between 3-9 years training for your specialty after medical school. (Exp: Internal Medicine is 3 yrs, and General Surgery is 5yrs) these values can also be +1 year depending on the program!
So, to become a fully practicing physician in the United States, it will take you a minimum of 11 years after high school.
