How long is studying Medicine in your country ?!

    Bosnia and Hercegovina here, our general medicine study is 6 years and than you get the specialization for 2-4 years...

    Hello from Denmark North europa
    here it takes 6 years ( basic and clinical medicine) and one year of full internship. for specialty it depends which major you're choosing but normally between 5 to 9 years of residency.

    Depending on the city your studying in you get a different curriculum

    In Groningen
    Bachelor 3 years
    Master 3 years then you get your MD, to become a GP you study another 3 years, the become a surgeon the residency is 6 years

    in Indonesia is depended by the university, so the long of education is not same

    in my university 3,5 of basic science, and less than 2 year of clinical science

    In Bolivia from 2010 until now lasts 6 years, 5 years of study and one of rotating internship in a hospital, because before then had a course to select students to enter the career that lasted 1 year, and now lasts just 3 months.

    Pretty much the same around the world. 4 years pre-med, 2 years book med, 2 years intern, residency 3 to 7 years.
    The truth is however that medicine is a commitment to life long learning. I was sitting in my fav teriyaki place today
    for lunch and on the counter was a copy of JAAPA magazine (Journal for PAs) and there was this really interesting
    article on reconstructive surgery involving the preservation of the facial nerve (CN VI). I sat there an extra half an hour
    reading this thing. Fascinating!

    4.5 years of studying+1 year of intern-ship+2 years of compulsory rural service= MBBS degree
    then an entrance exam for MD/MS....

    3 Years for Basic Medicine

    2 Years for Clinic Medicine

    1 Year for Internship

    And if you want to be a Specialist you should pass an exam called TUS which means Medical Specialty Exam. It's one of the world's thoughest exams.

    Hi. In Lebanon it's about 7 years... 3 years of basics 2 years of clinical 1 year of clinical while working as an extern then 1 year of full internship :)... Butt hat may change depending on the university where you study

    1.5 Years for Chem, Bio-Chem, Physiology, Anatomy, Physic
    4.5 Years for Clinical Medicine with intership in single subject

    After 6 years, i become a GP

    2 or 3 years for higher
    3 years for PhD

    hey there, :) i just wanna know if the pre med course is like basic clinical (anatomy,physio etc) or is it biology-related-subject?
