How long is studying Medicine in your country ?!

    6 year for med school (3 years for basic medicine ,3 years for clinical medicine) .Then, residency lasts from 3-7 years depending on specialty

    Hey, I'm from Montenegro.
    here you have 6 years of Basic Medicine
    you move on to 6 (or 12, I'm not sure it keeps changing) months internship
    finally you choose a specialty and that lasts about 4-6 years I think

    Colombia: 6 and a Half years, one of them is the internship.
    To get the registration we have to one year working , we called "rural year", this is after finish Medical School.

    For me it's: 6 years, then 13 months of internship, then residency (depends on
    type).
    For people starting studies 0n 2012 and later: 5 years+2 semesters (1 year) of internship, then residency.

    harma FMT MICROBIOLOGY)...2 yrs of clinical (medicine surgery peds gyane/obs ent optha psm)..and 1yr of internship...

    we study 9 semesters with one year rotatory internship spanning a total of 6 years. compulsory rural services by the graduates is in place.

    Here in Nigeria, its 3 years of basic medicine, 3 years of clinical medicine, 1 year of internship, 1 year of compulsory national youth service corp after which one can begin residency immediately or remain a general practitioner.

    6 years of General Med
    Then you take a test so you can register as a resident and depending on the specialties :
    3 years of family medicine, 7 years surgery and 5 years other specialties .
    After residency you take another exam and if you pass it then you can be a medical specialist in the field you've studied.
    After 5-6 years of experience you can advance and become a primary doctor after taking and passing another test.

    In Denmark it's 3 years basic, 3 years clinical, 1 year internship, then you have 4 years to apply for a speciality, then from 3-7 years with that.
