Depends on the specialty you choose, most of them are 5 years long ^_^
Well, now they want to change it all, after 3 years of preclinic, 3 - clinic, they want to introduce 2 years of internship and after that 2-4 years for the specialty you choose. Oh well.

5 years plus 1 year internship and 2-5 years of service depending on the place you re serving. the rural it is the shorter you ve to serve.
but you re only expected to serve if you can't pay the fee and its really expensive so most ppl prefers to serve.

Hello, I'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina
Here, studies lasts equal to Quote's information.
About specializations...least is 3 years, depending on which specialization is taken.
For example, surgery lasts additional 5 years after you become Doctor of General Medicine.

hi, its my first post on this forum

    I'm from Portugal,

It takes 6 years to get your degree, then another year which is called the "common year", while you are waiting for the results of the exam which gives you acess to a speciality, then its the speciality which can last anywhere from 3-6 years.

"Fun" Fact: In Portugal you are only considered a full fledged doctor once you end your speciality program, if you only do your six years of college+clinical and dont do speciality you are not considered an independent doctor and you can't work anywhere unless another doctor supervises you personally.
