How long is studying Medicine in your country ?!

    hi, i from Vietnam! it takes 6 years to become a GP! after that, we can go to work or study higher!

    - 3 years of 'college' (pre-med)

    University:
    - 3 years of preclinical (bach.med)
    - 3 years of clinical (cand.med)
    - 1 year internship

    Specialisation:
    Varies a lot depending on specialisation, I think it is like 3-10 years or so.

    In Brazil, it's 6 years.

    The two first years is called the basic cycle, in which we learn the basics (anatomy, histology, fisiology, etc). The 3rd and 4th years are the clinical cycle, and the last two years are internship.

    Hey there! I'm from Mexico.
    First.. you do 2 years of basic medicine
    then, 2 years of clinical medicine
    after that, you do 1 year of internship at a local hospital
    then you do an entire year of social service in a specific small town.
    that's a total of 6 years.
    Afterwards, if you're planning to be a specialist.. you apply for the residence. Depending on what you want, you can do another 4 or 5 years

    Hi I´m Colombian, here are 6 years in college and 1 year in rural area I, II, III, IV, V semesters are basic and they vary according to the university. VI, VII, VIII, IX, X are clinical (semiology, internal medicine, psychiatry, surgery, pediatrics, gynecology), one receives a diploma and must go to rural areas to practice for one year. and so practise relatively freely
