PLAB Pathway Vs MRCS/MRCP Pathway

Do you want to travel to work as a doctor in UK? i think this a suitable time for you to consider travelling to UK, after BREXIT they have a huge shortage in doctors and they accept foreign doctors much easier than before, the question now is to travel using PLAB or MRCS/MRCP, we will discuss this here from money wise point of view but the final answer is yours, if you like your specialty and you dont have any intention to change it so you can go for the MRCS/MRCP pathway, if you are flexible regarding the medical specialty so you can go for PLAB pathway as you will get the medical license and you will be able to apply for more jobs, lets now compare the 3 pathways from financial point of view:

PLAB Pathway:
£160-200 for IELTS or £332 for OET
£235 for PLAB 1
£860 for PLAB 2
Total: £1255 - £1427

MRCS Pathway:
£539 for part A in UK or £596 to 672 outside UK
£977 for part B in UK or £997 to 1012 outside UK
£160-200 FOR IELTS or £332 for OET
Total: £1676 - 2016

MRCP Pathway:
£419 for part A in UK or £594 outside UK
£419 for part B in UK or £594 outside UK
£657 for PACES in UK or £1202 outside UK
£160-200 FOR IELTS or £332 for OET
Total: £1655 - 2725

Obviously, the cost it not a big factor to take your decision as the 3 pathways are nearly in the same range of cost, it is worth mentioning that test centers outside UK are not available in all countries so if you dont have a test center in your country you have to add the cost of travelling to the nearest country that has a test center including accommodation there for few days, these are the countries that have test centers currently for PLAB 1 and PACES exam:
