The Kolkata Annual Research and Medical International Congress 2-5 June 2012 KARMIC-2012 is one of the biggest events of the medical students in India. It's an attempt by the Indian Medical Students' Association to act as a connecting link between the routine curriculum of medical education and the recent advances of medical science. Derived from the Sanskrit word "karma", which means "deed" or "act" and more broadly means the universal principle of cause and effect, action and reaction, that governs all life, KARMIC also believes in the deed/act of exchange and sharing of knowledge to have the effect of enlightenment of the budding medical minds. The Congress aims to be a cobweb of the upcoming pioneers of medical science of the country. It also aims to bring together the Indian and the Global Medical students’ fraternity on a common stage to bridge the gap by exchange of knowledge and experiences.
