A security guard who swindled benefit money to pay for operations to make himself look like the devil has been banned from leaving his house at night.

Gavin Paslow was handed the curfew after using £3,552 to fund operations to give himself a fangs, a forked tongue and horns.

Paslow, who has changed his name to Diablo Delenfer, or devil from the inferno - said he needed to carry out 'body modifications' to look more like Lucifer.

But the 39-year-old will be unable to stalk the streets at night after he was ordered to remain indoors from 5pm to 5am when he admitted seven counts of benefit fraud.

He pocked handouts while working variously for a security company, two separate recruitment firms and as a self employed guard.

Prosecutor Mark Hutchings told Cantebury Magistrates Court this week how Paslow had stolen cash to fund medical procedures including dental work.

Paslow - in court under his new moniker - pleaded guilty to seven offences of failing to promptly notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in circumstance that he knew would affect his benefit claims.

Delenfer defrauded a total of £3552.98 of benefits including £322.92 of housing benefit, £110.61 of council tax benefit and £3119.45 of income support between 28 September 2007 and 29 September 2008.

He was sentenced in April to 200 hours community service but was back in court yesterday to receive the curfew as a substitute punishment claiming he could not complete the unpaid work due to ill health.

But speaking after the case Paslow, from Seasalter, Kent - said he was sorry for his mistake.

'I was really constrained by money and I just wanted to have these modifications done so I used my benefit money to pay for some of them,' he said.

'It was a stupid mistake and I'm really sorry. I'm paying it all back. I really regret it.

'But I'm pleased with my look so far, but what I really want is a tail. And not just a synthetic one - a proper, organic tail.'

The divorced father-of-two said his body was a work in progress and that he was not satanic but rather addicted to body modification.

'I've always been a goth, and I love heavy metal music,' he said.

'This is the ultimate way to express myself. People seem to love it, my looks are a real ice-breaker.'

His transformation began with his bizarre 'budding horns' - two domed implants made from hard Teflon on either side of his forehead.

The £200-a-piece operations, carried out by a specialist in Manchester, were done without anaesthetic in early 2008 - and took a total of five hours.

The same cosmetic surgeon carried out a further procedure, also without anaesthetic, to 'fork' his tongue - which involved slicing it down the middle with a scalpel.

In August last year, he had a final operation to make his ears pointed at the tips, which was not successful, but he intends to have it re-done later this year.

The fangs were achieved by grinding down his canine teeth and attaching £560 permanent ceramic crowns to each one.

He also has 29 tattoos covering most of his upper body.

To finish off his demonic look, Paslow wears green lizard-style contact lenses and, on special occasions, a long undertakers' tail coat combined with a frilly shirt.

He said: 'I usually grow a pointy goatee beard, which I think fits my look. And I plan to have a lot more surgical work done.

'It will a long process, and I haven't really decided what to have done next, but it will possibly be further implants in my scalp to give the look of long horns going over my head.'

Paslow changed his name to Diablo Delenfer on Halloween last year - the Pagan new year.

A source at the Department of Work and Pensions said: 'We have heard of people stealing benefit money to pay for all sorts of different costs but this is just something else.

'I guess this just shows no one is immune for being found out for benefit fraud - even if they resemble the Prince of Darkness.'

Upon reading it I can picture out the way he looks and it scares me a lot. A question pops in my mind and it goes like this....Why he need to do that stuff?
