Feeling energetic and healthy while you’re flying is hard to do, especially when you’re stuck in a tiny seat for a long flight or dealing with annoying fellow flyers or soul-crushing layovers. Sometimes, perfect plane snacks, healthy post-flight eats, and cozy essentials can’t even help. If you feel our pain and love to feel your best while traveling, you’ll also appreciate some cool news we’ve just caught wind of: London’s Heathrow Airport will open the world’s first-ever airport wellness and fitness facilities this fall. Yep, you read that right — this is a full fitness studio right inside the airport!

The studio is a result of an exclusive partnership with FlyFit Global, and will enable the airport to host instructor-led classes such as cardio, strength, and restorative yoga, which could be a total game-changer when it comes to getting to the airport early, killing time during a layover, or dealing with time zone changes. Since travelers are not always equipped for a mid-journey sweat sesh, the FlyFit team will rent workout gear to those who are up for some airport exercise. The brand new studio will also have showers and — wait for it — healthy food options so you can fuel back up before your next flight. Genius, right?

There are already a number of airports worldwide that offer yoga studios (San Francisco, Chicago O’Hare and Chicago Midway, and Heathrow are just a few of them) and gyms with cardio machines (e.g., Dubai International, Toronto, and Singapore), but this will be the first full fitness center stocked with all the amenities you enjoy at your home health studio.

We also love that the spankin’ new space will be behind airport security, which means it’ll be available as soon as you pass through and won’t require any extra screenings. Anyone can hit up the private studio, slated to open in Terminal 2, via an elevator. Though we couldn’t scrounge up any info about class costs, schedules, or the specific offerings, you can sign up to receive updates if you’d like to be in the know. As far as we can tell, the studio will be available for use sometime during autumn 2017.

Here’s to hoping this healthy concept catches on and expands to other airports ASAP — we’re SO ready!
