With all the changes coming to healthcare in your country, Can anyone tell me what is the best medical specialty for the future? Given you could start from now, would you consider switching or staying with the specialty that you are in?

10 years ago they were talking about "Plastic Surgery" as the specialty of the future.
For Me I think Intervention Radiology is the specialty of the future, What do you think?

The specialist of the future is the multi specialist. Pathologist/radiologist/internal physician/3D programmer/engineer type of person is far more valuable than any type of narrow specialist. The same rule applies to the biochemistry/clinical immunology/genetics/microbiology types of multi specialist. Dogmatic narrow specialist are like dinosaurs and their extinction is inevitable. Surgeons are doomed too, the robots are better in operations than humans, plain and simple.

in the developed world, geriatrics. In the underdeveloped world, ID will continue to be the specialty of importance.

As a geneticist, I really think that genetics will develop a lot really fast and the need for geneticists will be in a continuous grow
