Who is best suited to be a doctor's life-partner?

    Doctors very often seem to have doctors or nurses as partners/spouses. I've been wondering if having a non -medical partner is a distinct advantage in relation to dealing with the long hours/ stress and overwhelm? Or is it a disadvantage being in a relationship with someone who doesn't have a clue what you are talking about and fails to undersatnd the reason for your workload and lack of work-life balance?

    The best suited life-partner is a doctor, because doctors can understand each others and they have common interests. But it isnt a rule. :)

    doctor IMO, as he/she will understand what his/her spouse is going through with the workload and stress. Others can be too demanding and fail to understand the work situation at times.

    i prefer not doctor, enough with the medicine in the hospital, don't wanna take work to home or discuss it there

    I am a Software Engineer and I wana marry with a doctor. Because I found in myself that I am respectful to doctors since my childhood and nothing is best and beautiful than a doctor .... One day I will have a cute wife and she will be a doctor .... InshAllah
